We recommend to arrive in Cusco at least one day before, The tour to Machu Picchu by Hiran Binghan train Service starts as the trains leave  early from Poroy train station . Cusco is located at 1600 km. south east of Lima (Peru).

On the journey from Cuzco to the beautiful lost city of Machu Picchu, the Hiram Bingham runs through Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.The beautiful valley, known as 'Vilcamayo' to the Incas, stretches out from the Inca citadels of Pisac to Ollantaytambo along the Urubamba River or "Sacred River." Hidden in the Sacred Valley is the picturesque village of Ollantaytambo, its ruins are said to contain the most impressive Inca stonework anywhere in Peru. The village is surrounded by the great temple-fortress clinging to the sheer cliffs beside it.Ollantaytambo is located where the valley becomes narrow and the road can no longer climb. It was used as a fortress to defend Cusco and the Sacred Valley of the Incas from the jungle tribes of the north.

As you trundle through the spectacular Peruvian countryside, in the comfort of a beautifully restored Pullman carriage, we will serve you a delicious meal from our Andean inspired menu.

Important Note.- Machu Picchu Citadel is open all year round on 2016. Huayna Picchu Mountain climb is closed on 2016 from April 1st to 15th Machu Picchu Mountain climb is closed from April 16 th to 30th. (Machu Picchu Citadel and Park office)

US$20 discount on the above prices to students with a valid International Student Identity Card (ISIC) and to children/youths under the age of 18 years old (scans of your ISIC card or child's passport must be provided at the time of paying the trek deposit in order to qualify for the discount). International Youth Travel Cards (IYTC) or other forms of student identity are not acceptable. If claiming a student discount you must bring your ISIC card on the trek and your card must be valid on the date of trek departure. Without a valid ISIC card government authorities will not allow you to start the trek and you will not be entitled to a refund.

We can also offer a US$10 per person discount for group bookings of 4 persons or more, provided just one person in the group is responsible for making the booking and sending the trek deposit. Student discounts: If you are claiming a student discount you must email us a scanned copy of your ISIC Student card immediately after proceeding with the booking form. Only a valid ISIC card is acceptable. If you cannot provide us with a scanned copy of your ISIC card we will charge you the standard adult price. You must take the ISIC card with you on the Machu Picchu Sanctuary as it will be checked. Unfortunately no other forms of student id are acceptable. Children under 16 years old receive a US$20 discount. If you are claiming a child discount you must email us a scanned copy of your child's passport (page containing photo and date of birth) after proceeding with the booking form. If you cannot provide us with a scan of your child's passport we will charge .
