The Urubamba River, also called Urupampa, rises in the knot of Vilcanota, running across much of the territory of Cusco with the name of Vilcanota River. When it runs through the City of Urubamba it is called Urubamba River. The turbulence of the Urubamba Rivers when running across the Sacred Valley of the Incas is suited for the practice of riding downstream, which is one of the most interesting attractions of adventure tourism in Peru.
Pick up from your hotel at 9:00 am and aboard the private transport and one and a half hour drive to Cusipata section. This is one of the most popular rafting sections on the Upper Urubamba. There are good class II – III and the river fortunately is not contaminated and this permit a nice river runs.
After arrive to the start point of this rafting tour the guides will give you safety talking and provide you with all the proper equipment for rafting. The rafting includes 2.5 hours of floating in the river through the sacred valley of the Incas. This tour is designed for beginner and families coming with kids, the minimum age required for this tour are not less than 10 years young and not more than 60 years old.
After the rafting tour we takeout to find our transport to drop us to the camping area as know Casa Cusi, where will be available of full course lunch included in the tour cost. Free time for rest.
At 4:00 pm aboard the transport and drive back to the hotel in Cuzco, where you will arrive around 5:00 pm and end of this tour.
ADVICE FOR PARTICIPANTS
Normal physical conditions and summer clothes require minimum of acclimatization over 3000m. One day before all the bikers will have meeting with the guide at our office or in the hotel, who will give a BRIEFING about this adventure trip and also you can check the quality of our equipment and gear will be used on this trip.
